This amended course description has changed the order of the loops and some and also no longer enters Bimbadgen Vineyard. The course will be staged from The Vintage Golf Resort and Spa located off McDonalds Rd, Pokolbin. This resort is a world class facility and we are fortunate to have access to the grounds for this event. The event compound will be on the lawns of the Golf Club and Chateau Elan overlooking the golf resort and wineries of the Hunter Valley. There will be a festival atmosphere with stalls, entertainment, food and wine (for post race of course) The course will start on the cart track below the finish line just up from the 10th hole. This will be a start mat to reduce the need for runners to rush over the line. Your time will start when you cross the start line. The course follows the tracks downhill or flat until the 13th hole where there is a slight incline over 2km. After going through the course tunnel, the course runs back to the club house, where they will head past the Vintage Chapel and cross Vintage Drive to more paths that head past the driving range. These tracks meander around the course past Bimbadgen Vineyard until a left turn that returns runners to a track taking them where they will cross Vintage Drive again and run into the finish chute in front of a substantial crowd in front of the Golf Club House. The course is all weather proof and only 400m of grass and some uneven ground. All course detail is subject to weather and approvals.
